chcem sa opytat na jeden problem - objednala som Digest Platinum z iHerbu a  namiesto toho mi poslali Digest Ultimate (v baliku nebola faktura ako zvycajne- mozno preto, lebo ho zachytlila colnica). Medzitym som zistila, ze na stranke Now Foods je upozornenie o stahovani produktov s tou istou sarzou ako mam aj ja:

NOW Foods is conducting a voluntary recall of NOW® Digest Ultimate™ (formerly known as Digest Platinum™) 60 Veg Capsules and 120 Veg Capsules - Product Code 2965, Lot# 1660276, Lot# 1653504, Lot# 1634330, Lot# 1618025, Lot# 1606053, Lot# 1587905, Lot# 1539085, Lot# 1518136, Lot# 1497964, Lot# 1476818; Product Code 2968, Lot# 1645219, Lot# 1630289, Lot# 1616607, Lot# 1607295, Lot# 1593903, Lot# 1549088, Lot# 1536759, Lot# 1528258, Lot# 1516482, Lot# 1511273, Lot# 1483789, Lot# 1470001, Lot# 1458643. The product code is located on the label and the lot number is located on the bottom of the bottle. The bottle is white plastic with a purple lid and an orange NOW label. These lot numbers of product codes 2965 and 2968 are the only items affected by this recall.

NOW Foods is voluntarily recalling the above-referenced products because the supplier of one of the ingredients used in these products has notified NOW that this ingredient may contain the antibiotic chloramphenicol. Consumers should discontinue use of this product. Consumers should return the product to the store where it was purchased for a full refund. No receipt is required.

NOW has not received any complaints of illness associated with taking these products. Additionally, NOW does not expect any adverse side effects from using these products since the side effects from chloramphenicol are extremely rare even at the therapeutic dose of 3,500 mg/day. The amount in these recalled products is 35 million times lower than the therapeutic dose. Those rare side effects may include unusual fever, bruising, or bleeding gums. A very rare unpredictable reaction called aplastic anemia has been known to occur in patients treated with chloramphenicol. The incidence of developing aplastic anemia following therapeutic doses (3,500 mg/day) of chloramphenicol is very low (one in every 30,000 to 50,000 treatments).

NOW Foods is providing information on this voluntary recall to all retailers who purchased the affected lots of these products.
